Margaret Davis Obituary

In Loving Memory of Margaret Mary Davis
August 31, 1944 – August 1, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Mary Davis (née Gallant) on August 1, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Margaret moved to North Bay at a young age, where she built a life rooted in love, family, and community. She was the beloved wife of the late Lyle Davis, with whom she shared a lifetime of laughter, partnership, and unwavering devotion.

Together, Margaret and Lyle raised three children—Lyle Jr. (deceased), Cheryl, and Greg—who were the pride and joy of her life. As a devoted and loving mother, Margaret always put her family first, creating a home filled with warmth, kindness, and lasting memories.

She believed deeply in the values of teamwork and perseverance and was a beloved figure in the community through her volunteer work with the West Ferris Women’s Auxiliary, where she offered her time and heart to support local initiatives.

Professionally, Margaret dedicated her career to audiology, becoming a respected and trusted presence across the greater North Bay area. Her work brought the gift of sound to countless individuals, and she approached every patient with empathy, professionalism, and genuine care.

Margaret had a profound love for the outdoors and found great joy in camping trips with her family. Some of her happiest moments were spent at the trailer—gathered around the campfire, enjoying peaceful mornings by the lake, playing cards, and sharing stories under the stars.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and loved. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those she touched—especially her children and grandchildren, who carry her love and strength with them each day.

Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children Cheryl (Rob) and Greg (Julie); her treasured grandchildren Chantal (Garnet), Eric, Tyler, Katie, and Casson; and by many dear friends and extended family.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Barclay House for the care and companionship provided to Margaret during her residence, and to the doctors and staff at North Bay Regional Health Centre for their compassion and support throughout her final days. As per her personal wishes, there will be a private service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Parkinson’s research.
