Margaret (Edgerton) Hunka

Hunka, Margaret (nee Edgerton) 1931 – 2018 – Margaret passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday March 21, 2018 at the age of 87 years.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years Yaroslav Hunka. Dear mother of Martin (Theresa) & Peter (Darlene). She was a loving grandma to 4 grandchildren Leshya Lecappelain (Kelsey), Natalka Hunka, Robin Hunka and Aaron Hunka.

Also survived by her sister Frances Collins of England.

Predeceased by her brother Oliver Edgerton.

Margaret was born in Studley, Warwickshire England. She met Yaroslav after the Second World War. They married in 1951, immigrating to Canada in 1954 where they settled in Toronto.

Margaret had many passions in life, including yoga, reading, gardening and especially traveling to new countries. A person of seemingly endless patience, Margaret never had a cross word to say about anyone. Always supportive of her family, she was there to lend an ear and offer advice in her ever gentle way.

Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., on Saturday March 24^th from 4 until 6 pm.

 A funeral service will be held at the St. Volodymir Cemetery Chapel in Oakville on Monday March 26^th at 11am.
