Mark Seccareccia Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Seccareccia on Sunday, October 25, 2020 in his 66th year. Son of Jerry and the late Anthony Seccareccia. Dear Brother of Lori Gribbon (John) and Tony Seccareccia (Denise). Uncle of Jeffrey Gribbon (Hayley), Patrick Gribbon (Lija), Christina Aitchison (Matt) and Michelle Seccareccia. Great Uncle of Owen, Kallie, Abigail, MacKenzie and Clare.

Mark was truly a kind and loving soul who cared about his family and those around him.  He suffered with severe mental illness for most of his adult life. Our hope is that those who encountered Mark and others whose daily lives are impacted by mental illness have developed a better understanding, compassion and support for those who are suffering.

We are extremely grateful to Dr. Shaw and the many current and previous Doctors, Nurses and health care professionals at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their exceptional compassion and care for Mark over the years. We consider many of you to be part of Mark’s extended family.

Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid, a Celebration of Life will occur at a later date. A mass in his intentions will be held at the St Jerome's Church in Sault Ste Marie on November 7th for his birthday.

Memorial contributions to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation - Regional Mental Health, or the Canadian Mental Health Association - Ontario Division would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Hillside Funeral Services, North Bay Ontario. Online condolences can be made at www.hillsidefuneral.ca
