Maurice Martin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maurice (Moe) Martin at Nipissing Serenity Hospice on April 30, 2024 at the age of 83. 

Predeceased by his parents, George and Julie Martin (née Masson) and his sister Diane Simard. Survived by his wife Aline (née Dupont).  Cherished father of Glen and Lyne.  Grandpa to Savannah and Dominique, great-grandpa to Adalynn and Oaklynn.  Dear brother of Lorraine Martin.  Caring uncle to Diane‘s children, Lise, Nicole, Monique and Gilles as well as their families.

Moe retired from the MTO in 1993. He was an avid golfer, snowmobiler, boater, fisherman, and hunter.  Frank’s Bay Hunt Club was his haven, typically accompanied by his son Glen and many uncles and cousins. 

He was also a great handyman working on projects along side his daughter Lyne.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. We would like to invite Moe's friends and extended family to the Callander Legion Branch #445 located at 345 Lansdowne St. Callander, on Saturday June 22, 2024 from 1 pm until 4 pm.  Please come share your memories of Moe, tell your stories and have a laugh with his wife Aline, as well as his sister Lorraine and children Lyne and Glen.  We hope to see you all there. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to either the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
