Maurice passed away unexpectedly December 28, 2021 at the age of 67 years old.

To honor the memory of Maurice everyone is welcome to join his family at a graveside ceremony that will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at St-Louis de France Roman Catholic Cemetery (3092 Chiswick Line, Chisholm, ON), followed by a celebration of Maurice's life at the family home (1206 Golf Course Road in Chisholm, ON). We invite you to bring your stories and chairs.

With great sadness the family of Maurice (Moe) Periard announce his sudden passing on December 28, 2021 at the age of 67 years old. Maurice was predeceased by his father Ovid, mother Victoria (née Laferrière) and brother Joe. Survived by his loving wife Carole (née Gregoire). Adored father to his son’s Eric (Jade), Steven, daughter Giselle (Tyler) and son in-law Gilles. He was also a devoted stepfather to William (Melissa), Rob (Ginette) and Allison. Loving pépère to Tyson, Hunter, Riley, Gabriella, Natalia, Hannah, Gracie, Isabelle, Branden, Jade, Nolan, Hailey, Bryce, Kyrstin and Blake. Maurice also leaves behind his siblings Diane (Jean-Marc), Joanne (Neil) sister in law Claire and many nieces and nephews. Maurice was known by many to be an exceptional hard worker and devoted his career as an outstanding machine operator. He was a role model and mentor for many who had the privilege of working with him during his years at Periard Construction till the end where he worked side by side with his son Eric at Underground Solutions. His happiest moments where behind the wheel of a backhoe or any other piece of equipment he can get his hands on. He was passionate about spending time with his wife, family and friends by travelling or simply enjoying the outdoors. His quiet moments were spent with his cat Oscar and best friend Gab, by his side. His love for life and his witty personality drew the attention of so many. Your memory will live deeply on our hearts forever, this is not goodbye it’s simply will see you again one day XO. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
