Maurice (Moe) Charron Obituary

Jean Maurice (Moe) Bernard Charron

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Maurice (Moe) at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday August 31, 2025 at the age of 89.

Moe was the beloved husband of the late Yvette (nee Martel). Loved father to Jay (Barb) of Guelph, Ontario and Paul of Rancho Mirage, California. He was a proud Poppa that will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Courtney (Rhys) of Fenwick, Ontario and Lauren (Logan) of Guelph, Ontario.

He was predeceased by his parents Marie and Philexime, and his siblings Paul (Laura- surviving), Denise (John), Lucille, Beatrice (Chuck), Chuck (Marie), Gilles (Jeannine), Sister Jocelyne, and Marcelle (George).

Moe will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the kind and compassionate care offered to Moe by Jim Kennedy and Janice Philion.

Moe was co-founder of Trans Canada Store Supplies Ltd where he spent many years travelling throughout Northern Ontario serving customers while earning their respect and affection.  He was a devout man and proud member of the Knights of Columbus, he never failed to offer a helping hand to those in need. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter.

The family would like to thank the kind and compassionate care offered to Moe by Dr. Vigars, along with the nurses and staff of the North Bay Regional Health Centre, in particular nurse Robert Klein for his outstanding kindness, empathy and tenderness.

Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
