Maxine Kennedy Obituary

Kennedy, Maxine (nee Marcotte) March 4, 1962- February 28, 2025

Just shy of her 63rd birthday, Maxine Kennedy passed away, leaving behind her beloved son, Matthew (Skyler). She was the cherished daughter of Shirley and Jack Marcotte and dear sister to Jason, Reed (Michelle) and Andrea (Art). She was predeceased by her brother Michael. Maxine will be deeply missed by her nieces Kate, Kyleigh, Victoria, Kira and Lexi as well as her nephews Kevin, Robert, Jakia, Jonah and Levi.

Maxine attended Sacred Heart School, St Huberts and St Joseph’s College and Mother House. She graduated from Widdifield Secondary School going on to Cambrian College and Nipissing University. Maxine was a very talented artist and had much appreciation for literature and the arts.

Maxine was no stranger to life’s challenges, yet she dedicated much of her time to helping others through their own struggles. She worked with many in the community, offering support, understanding and compassion, always putting the well-being of others first. Her own experiences gave her a unique ability to connect with those in need and she made a lasting impact on many people’s lives.

She found peace in the outdoors, especially by the water. The lake was her refuge, a place where she could breathe, reflect and find solace. The recent loss of her rock Bill Kennedy, on February 18th, 2025 was a heavy burden for her to bare.
