Cassidy, Michael (1940-2024)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael which took place at his home on March 17th 2024 with his loving family by his side.  Beloved spouse of Patricia (McCann), whom would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this may.  Cherished father of Erin (Mike) Brideau, and Colleen (Nick) Condy.  Proud Poppa of Evan Cassidy, Blake Berlet, Michael (Amanda) Brideau, Zachary (Rebecca) Brideau and Ainsleigh Brideau.  Also survived by his sister Carolyn (Tony) Zanni, sisters-in-law Della Cassidy and Cathy (John) Ford, as well as several nieces, nephews and many extended family members. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Marie Cassidy and his brother John Cassidy.

Michael was an avid sports fan, loved to read and solve crossword puzzles. He was a man of faith but most of all a great family man.  He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Family is receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services on March 25th, 2024, from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm.  A funeral mass will follow at 1 pm at St Peter the Apostle Church. 

A heartfelt thank you to the countless people and caregivers who have help care for Michael in his final years, months and days.

In lieu of flowers, donation the NBRHCF Cardiac Centre as expressions of sympathy would be appreciated by the family.
