Mirela Stosic

We regretfully announce the passing of Mirela Stosic, of North York, Ontario. Mirela passed away on August 17th, after a difficult battle with cancer. 

Mirela was born to Olga and Vlado, Stosic in Požega, Croatia, and grew up in Zagreb, Croatia. After immigrating to Canada, she worked for many years in holistic care before embarking on her academic journey. 

Mirela was a dedicated student who successfully obtained her Master's in Religious Studies and was currently in the process of completing her PhD.  She also had a deep love for all animals, especially her cats.

Mirela & Kevin were married in Zagreb, Croatia, and settled in North York, Ontario, where they loved spending time together outdoors.

Mirela is survived by her husband, Kevin Reid, her mother and father, Olga and Vlado Stosic, her in-laws, Gerri Reid, Andrea Matus (Mike), Bill Reid (Deborah), Stephanie Reid (Lou Labrash), and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members in Croatia.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Our Lady Queen of Croatia Church in Toronto, Ontario on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11 am.
