Normand Lazure Obituary

Lazure, Normand (1952-2025)

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday August 06, 2025 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre with his loving family by his side.

Normand was the loving husband to Diane. He was the proud father to Lynn Gaudreault (Dennis), Julie Allaire (Denis) and Nicole Lazure. Pepe to Alexy, Kody, Rory and Charles. Brother to Colinda (Michel) and Conrad (Bernice). Normand was predeceased by his son Marcel, his parents Gerard and Camillia and by his sister Laurel (Felix-surviving).

Born and raised on a farm, Normand grew up with strong values, a love of the outdoors and a deep appreciation for hard work. He carried these qualities throughout his life, always putting family first and offering a steady, dependable presence to those around him.

Normand shared 49 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife Diane, building a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Together, they raised a close-knit family that brought him endless pride.

As an avid outdoorsman, he found peace in nature, especially while fishing or hunting deer. He treasured his time at the family cottage, where he could relax, share stories, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Normand was a passionate hockey fan, he grew up playing the game and remained a lifelong supporter of local hockey. He rarely missed a game when his grandchildren took to the ice and was a proud season ticket holder of the North Bay Battalion. His presence in the stands was a familiar and comforting sight to many. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the floor D3 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, especially nurses Garett and Cleo that went above and beyond, providing dignified and compassionate care to Normand.

Family will be receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport road, North Bay, ON, on Saturday August 30th, 2025 between 10:00 until 12:00pm with a service to follow at 12:00pm.

Donations in his memory can be made to the North Bay Regional Health Centre (Cancer Care).
