Rachel (Legault) Contant

Contant, Rachel- It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Rachel Contant (née Legault) on Monday, April 25, 2022, at the Nipissing Manor Nursing Care Centre in Corbeil. Rachel was born in Field, ON, on March 11th, 1937 to the late Alphonse and Exilda Legault. 

Rachel will lovingly be remembered and deeply missed by her daughter Joanne Contant (Mike Smith), son Pierre Contant (Therese Carriere) and grandchildren Catherine (Mario) and Pierre-Marc (Maude), siblings; Liette, Armande, Alice (Gerry), Leona (Bill), Hélène (Jean-Louis), Noella (Michel), Al (Sue), Gerard (Karen), Suzette (Gilles) and many nieces and nephews.   She is predeceased in death by her ex-husband Emile Contant and siblings Roland, Robert and Rita. 

Rachel will be remembered for her friendliness, generosity and sense of humour. Her lovable qualities allowed her to make so many friends everywhere she lived or went. It’s fair to say if you knew Rachel, you will miss her deeply.  A special thank you to the team at Nipissing Manor who made Rachel's last days comfortable.

In keeping with Rachel’s wishes there will be no visitation or services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Alzheimer Society.
