Randall (Randy) Sigvard MacPhail

MacPhail, Randy - Passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday June 9th, 2022.

Born in New Brunswick on September 29, 1956. He was raised in British Columbia and settled in Ontario where he worked as an RPN for the North Bay Regional Health Centre for 25 years. Randy was always a caring and compassionate nurse. He advocated for them and was a strong voice for patient rights. As a colleague he always was supportive, he was a good listener and was always good at making staff feel good about themselves. He had a deep and heartwarming laugh and would do anything for a friend. Randy also spent some time serving in the Canadian Armed Forces.

He was 1 of 7 siblings, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Work was his life, and that’s how he enjoyed it! When he wasn’t working he could be found fishing, hunting playing pool and darts. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre will be gratefully acknowledged.
