Gauthier, Rene Joseph (April 12, 1951- July 29, 2024)

Rene has left this world to be reunited with his brothers and the love of his life, his beloved pet dog, Lisa. He passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, July 29th, 2024, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 73.

He will be sorely missed by his partner of 18 years Charlene Lefebvre. Proud father of Tracey (Stan) and Darcy. Grandpa to Carlexia, Alyssa, Prestan and Zoey. Rene is survived by his children’s mother Frances Gauthier and by his sisters Anita Boucher (Jack-predeceased) and Yvonne Gauthier (Claude Gauthier), his brother-in-law Richard Lafontaine (Carol- predeceased) and nephew Cary. He is predeceased by his brothers Oliver (Claudette) and Harvey Gauthier. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Rene was an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and hunting, playing cards with friends and spending time with his grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Road, on Friday, August 2nd, 2024 between 10:00a.m. and 11:00 a.m. A celebration of Rene’s life will be held at 11am followed by a luncheon.
