Cantin, Rita 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Rita Cantin at the age of 102.

She was predeceased by her husband, Patrice (May 7, 1982). She leaves behind her daughters Aline (Bryan Reynolds-deceased 1962), Jeannette (Ron Etches-deceased), Victoria (David Balser-deceased), her grandchildren Steven (deceased)(surviving spouse Katherine), Trina (deceased), John (deceased), Jamie (Corinne), Jody (Debbie), Jennifer (Ron). Her four great-grandchildren Isabella, Riley (Elizabeth), Jack and Danielle, as well as one great-great-grandchild, Riggs.  Rita had a favourite song that was called “The Rose” which her granddaughter Jennifer would perform for her. 

A private family service has been held.

The family would like to thank the staff at Barclay House for the wonderful care given to Rita over the past 12 years.

In lieu of flowers donations to the nipping serenity hospice would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
