Rita (Huot) Rotondo

Rotondo, Rita Cecelia (nee Huot)  1928-2020  -  The family announces with great sorrow the passing of our beloved mom Rita Cecelia Elizabeth Rotondo on Thursday February 20^th, 2020 at the age of 91. Born on September 23, 1928, in Pembroke, Ontario, Rita was the oldest of four children of Napoleon and Cecelia (nee Kruger) Huot.

Loving wife of the late Armand Rotondo, together Rita and Armand shared an amazing 68 years of marriage and happily raised their five adoring children in God’s love. Rita’s devotion to her family and her church were paramount in her life and a positive example to others. Rita is survived by her children, Darla (Mike) Laderoute, Daryl Rotondo, Dalyce Parsons, Delta Rotondo and Darren (Sylvie) Rotondo as well as her 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her sister Doreen Wildman of Timmins.

Rita was a kind and gentle person who touched the lives of so many people. It is hard to express with words what this beautiful soul so affectionately showed towards others. Rita will be dearly missed by her family, her friends, and all who were blessed to have known her love and kindness.

Family will be receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Thursday February 27^th from 7 until 9 pm as well as Friday February 28th from 9 until 11 am.  A celebration of her life will be held on Friday February 28^th at 11 am at the funeral home. Donations in memory of Rita to the Lung Association of Ontario would be appreciated by her family.
