Robert Craven Obituary

Craven, Robert “Griz” (Sept 1951 - Aug 2022)

It is with a great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my Bob on Aug 6, 2022 at NBRHC at North Bay in his 71st year.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Shirley of 16 years, who was by his side at hospital.  As well as his stepsons, Jeremy, Steven (Lynda) and stepgrandson Keegan Day.

The extended Miles in-laws: Gord (Sharon), Betty, David (Simonne) and Norah.

There are so many people who cared about him. You know who you are. We are so thankful for you.

There were so many chapters in his life.  From his driving taxi, first at Reliable in Newmarket, and all the special people he held dear. Then his years after moving to the North, with 5-0 Cab and then Union Taxi and all the people he knew , and ones who still remember him to this day.  There was the Nipissing Revolver & Rifle, that he was a member of, because he was an avid gun enthusiast.

But a very special moment for him was when his DNA was done and he connected with his 3rd cousin Jean in Essex UK. from the Craven side.  He was thrilled!

Family receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd, on Wednesday September 21, 2022 from 10 am until 12 pm (noon). A celebration of his life will follow at 12 pm at the funeral home.
