Robert Guindon

Guindon, Robert (1951 - 2025)

Robert passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre with family by his side on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 at the age of 74 years.

He was best friend and soulmate for many years with Diane Allen. Loving father of Michelle Guindon, Michael Guindon, and Nicole Guindon. He will be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren. He was survived by his sister Pamela Guindon. Later in life, he was also a stepfather to Tyler Allen and Lisa Allen.
 
Robert was a very tough man, with a giant heart. He will be greatly missed by many close friends, especially Izzy who loved him with her whole heart. Robert was a skilled hunter, trapper, and fisherman who spent many years in the wilds of Northern Ontario. He valued the old ways and loved sharing his wild hunting stories with family and friends. Robert was an excellent cook, with a dry sense of humour. He had a green thumb and a vast knowledge of edible plants, often sharing what he knew with family and friends over beautiful home-cooked meals. His stories, wisdom, sharp wit, and love for gardening left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege to know him.

As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hillside Funeral Services in North Bay.
