Our family and community sadly lost Bob (Robert) Latulippe, age 65, on September 2, 2023, after one year of living with cholangiocarcinoma. Bob passed away peacefully and surrounded by love at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 43 years, Diane Latulippe (Buckner), and adoring daughters, Nicole Latulippe (Patrick) and Michelle Latulippe (Mason Pahl); his loving father, Donald Latulippe, and sisters, Monique Landry (David), Suzanne Nantel (Raymond), and Lise Latulippe (Richard Mathé); many nieces and nephews, extended family, dear friends, and the Dowdal Cabinets family. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Germaine Latulippe (Duguay). Bob will be fondly remembered for his kind and generous spirit, wit and great sense of humour. His contributions to the community of North Bay and the surrounding area include 31-years as co-owner of Dowdal Cabinets where his creativity and positive, uplifting nature were recognized and appreciated by many. Bob was an avid snowmobiler and active volunteer with the North Bay Snowmobile Club. He loved his life and enjoyed music, snowy winters, good times with loved ones, and his family home. He liked to remind his girls, “life is about experiences” and “to have a friend, you have to be a friend”. Bob’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with.
Many thanks to Dr. W. Philipson, Dr. J. Emack, Dr. H. Moore and the excellent staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, Health Sciences North, Home and Community Care North East, and the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
Help extend Bob’s kindness and compassion through a donation or by volunteering at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (Cancer Care), Nipissing Serenity Hospice, or North Bay Snowmobile Club.
Share your stories of remembrance on Friday, September 8, at Hillside Funeral Services in North Bay. Friends and family will be received from 4:30pm, followed by a celebration of life/prayer service at 5pm and gathering from 6 to 9pm.
May Bob’s beautiful spirit and light heartedness stay with us forever ❤️
Let us not look for you only in memory,
Where we would grow lonely without you.
You would want us to find you in presence,
Beside us when beauty brightens,
When kindness glows
And music echoes eternal tones.
When orchids brighten the earth,
Darkest winter has turned to spring;
May this dark grief flower with hope
In every heart that loves you.
May you continue to inspire us:
To enter each day with a generous heart.
To serve the call of courage and love
Until we see your beautiful face again
In that land where there is no more separation,
Where all tears will be wiped from our mind,
And where we will never lose you again.
