Roger Mathieu

Passed away peacefully in his 81st year with loving family by his side at the Au Château in Sturgeon Falls on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. 

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Michelle (Saya) Sons, Ken and Todd and grandsons Daniel and Caleb Mathieu and Collin King. Predeceased by parents, Fred and Marie Mathieu, sister Rita Chatelaine (Late Albert) and baby Victor.

Also survived by his sister Germaine Larondeau (Late Lionel), brothers Homer (Late Jackie) & Robert (Enola) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Roger enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. Upon his retirement, Roger and Michelle travelled from the east to west coast, towing his fifth wheel trailer, including an awesome three month trip to Alaska.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be held at the family plot in the spring.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at the Au Château Home of the aged for making Roger and I feel at home.
