Roland Brisson Obituary

Brisson, Roland (July 10, 1930 - April 29, 2022)- Roland has gone to join his beloved wife Anna in the choir of angels. He was the cherished father to Rollande. Rolly is survived by his brothers Louis (Grace - predeceased), Paul (Lucie), Jacques (Nicole - predeceased) and by his sisters Yvonne (Fernand), Simone (Guillaume-predeceased). He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Louise, by his brothers Marcel, Jean-David and sisters Marie and Justine. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great -great nephew. He will also be missed by his longtime friends.

Rolly worked at Canada Post as a proud letter carrier for almost 33 years. In his later years, he still fondly remembered his many clients when he delivered the mail. He was a dedicated parishioner of Paroisse des St. Anges and had great joy working with his wife Anna in the archives of the church. During his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, fishing and cards with his brothers.  His greatest joy was to play the guitar with his musical family at many gatherings.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the nursing staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (sections D3 and C3), for the compassionate care they provided to Rolly. Thank you to the V.O.N PSW’s and Care Partner nurses who provided care to him in his home. A special thanks to the "angel" Dr. Leckie for going above and beyond in the care that was provided to Rolly throughout the years and to Dr. Leckie's replacement, Dr. Stacy, to have continued his care in his last few weeks.

Family will be receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport rd, on Saturday May 7th, between 10 and 12pm with the celebration of life to immediately follow. At the request of the family, anyone who is attending the visitation and the service, are required to wear a mask.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Roland’s memory can be made to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
