Samantha Hotte Obituary

HOTTE, Samantha Lea (1992-2023)

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our brave, strong, funny, creative, lovable, kind-hearted, stubborn, beautiful, sweet, sassy Samantha who gained her “Angel Wings” on November 2, 2023 at the tender age of 31, surrounded by the love of her family.  Precious daughter of Tracy, daddy’s girl of Paul.  Adoring mother of SamSon, who was her pride and joy as well as the light of her life. Baby sister of Bradley (Shauna) and Justin.  Tee-Tee to her nephews Jackson and Blake.  She will be missed by her surviving grandparents Sue and Irene (Neil), auntie Lisa, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, friends especially her childhood besties Jesse and Randi.  She will be fondly remembered by anyone who has ever had pleasure of knowing her.  Predeceased by both her grandfathers Reg and Irvin.  Life as we know it will never be the same. We are painfully broken-hearted with the void that now remains.  God picks only the most beautiful flowers for his garden and that is why he picked you.  You will live on forever in our hearts and memories.  Your legacy and kind spirit will continue to shine through our cherished SamSon.  What we wouldn’t give to bring you back, however, it gives us solace that you are no longer suffering.  I know we will one day be reunited again, until then may our Sweet Angel rest in peace.  Love you forever and always hunny, love Mom, Dad, Bradley, Justin and SamSon.

A private visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Services.  A Celebration of Samantha’s Life will take place at a later date.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Trenker, as well as the multiple doctors and nurses who attended to Samantha’s health throughout her life.  A special thank you to her Support Workers Jill Faber, Michelle Thornton and Pam Nolan for your unwavering care, inevitable special bond and friendship. We know you ladies had Samantha’s best interest at heart, consistently advocating for her when she couldn’t do so for herself.  We will forever be grateful for the compassion, dignity and respect that the three of you always gave our daughter.

In lieu of flowers donations to Epilepsy Canada would be greatly appreciated.  We would also ask to honor Samantha by performing a random act of kindness in memory of the kindest, sweetest soul who can now finally rest easy.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
How do you know Samantha Lea Hotte?
