Stella Bonany (Ammerata)

Stella died  peacefully at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice after a valiant fight from stroke complications. She was 92. She was the loved mother of daughter Cindy(Adrian Tremblay).

Predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Gerald (Gerry) Bonany as well as her sisters Mary Gosztyla, Theresa Stillin, Rita Signorotti, and Eva St. Louis.

She was the daughter of late Erminia (Vigna) and Giovanni Ammerata

A very special thank you to Helen Fatum for her friendship to both Gerry and Stella, but in particular, the past few years with Stella. She truly became part of the family. Her help and care are greatly appreciated and will always be remembered; and to her niece Cathy, who offered love and support and brought “Auntie” her much loved homemade baked treats.

Thanks to the nurses and staff at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice for their exceptional care during her final days, allowing Stella dignity even in the face of her many trials. They are truly angels on earth.

Cremation has taken place. At Stella’s request, there will be no visitation or service. A private family interment will take place at a later date.

 Donations can be made in Stella’s name to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
