LANGLOIS, Timothy Joseph
It is with heavy hearts and sadness that the Langlois family shares the passing of Timothy (Tim) Langlois on April 20th, 2025.
Tim was the loving husband, high school sweetheart, and best friend of Georgina (Gina) Langlois. They had a life filled with love, fun, and adventure, and worked hard together to achieve their dreams.
Tim was a devoted and loving father and father-in-law to Tyler and Naomi, and Nicholas and Morgan. Tim was very proud of his sons, but even more so when he became "Grampy" to his three cherished grandchildren: Jackson, Levi, and Evelyn. The family room was the ‘outdoors,’ and his little buddies brought him so much joy and he treasured his time with each of them.
Tim was the son of the late Elmer and Noella Langlois, brother of the late Richard (Ric) Langlois, and survived by his sister-in-law Diane, sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Butch Cunningham, and brother and sister-in-law Michael and Cathy Langlois. He will also be missed by Gina’s siblings, the late Barbara Ott and survived by Donna, Darlene, and David Ott and his wife Alyce. Tim was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. Everyone has a cherished memory and story about their time spent with Tim.
Tim enjoyed a fulfilling career with the Ministry of Transportation in highway construction for nearly 36 years. He then worked for Tulloch Engineering, utilizing his skills and experience until his retirement. Everyone who knew Tim respected him both personally and professionally, appreciating his integrity and generosity of spirit. Tim was the epitome of a family man, always there for Gina, his sons, family, and friends, willing to lend a helping hand.
Tim enjoyed listening to country music, being outdoors, and working on various carpentry and other projects. He found his paradise living on the lake, where he and Gina would frequently host gatherings for family and friends, spending time on the water and enjoying various recreational activities. Tim also loved to go on adventures, from fishing trips, travelling at home and abroad, scuba diving, and many other excursions with Gina, family and friends. He also enjoyed life's simplest treasures and loved all animals, especially his late pups, Elliott and Jasper.
Tim fought his disease with bravery and determination over the last few years, always with Gina by his side, supported by their sons, family, and friends, living each day to the fullest. He inspired all of us with his strength of will and spirit.
The family would like to thank Tim’s medical teams at the Northeast Cancer Centre, Ottawa General Hospital – TCT program, and the North Bay Regional Health Centre. Everyone on his team was outstanding and made a significant difference in his life. They'd also like to thank all their extended family and friends for their support, visits, and prayers. He always felt blessed and surrounded by love. Tim lived a life well-lived.
A visitation for family and friends will take place at Hillside Funeral Services on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, at 1:30 pm followed by a celebration of life at 3:30 pm.
Before his illness, Tim was an avid blood donor. He raised awareness about donating and frequently brought in new donors. Please also consider donating blood, plasma, or stem cells, as they can make a difference in the lives of so many people.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, local Humane Society or a charity of your choice. Online condolences can be made at www.hillsidefuneral.ca
