Troy Hurtubise Obituary

HURTUBISE, Troy - (Nov. 23, 1963 - June 17, 2018) - With tremendous sadness Troy’s family announces his passing in North Bay on Sunday June 17th, 2018 at the age of 54.

There will forever be a void left by the enigma that was Troy Hurtubise, remembered, loved always and deeply missed by his wife of 27 years, Lori Hurtubise, and only son, Brett.

Troy leaves behind a 4 year old granddaughter, Talia, who lovingly called him ‘Pee-Pare’ and whom he loved beyond words; Talia-Rose, his little ‘Red’.

His friend and brother in law, Randy, wife Karen, and their children Jonathon, Kelsey, Cody and Cameron.

Mother, Claudette Villeneuve, father, Maurice Hurtubise (Kim), Loving brother to Deborah Broznitsky (Peter), Tina Leblond (Robert), Belinda Noble (Wyatt), Stacy Hurtubise (Courtney Crompton), Blair Hurtubise (Melissa Kosowan) as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and a great niece

He will be forever remembered for his determined outlook on life, and his willingness to forge a path uniquely his own; a path without refute or deviation for an ultimate goal, a goal that, to him, was all there ever was. In life, Troy pursued many passions and adventures but settled for invention. Taking the quote by Albert Eisenstein as a personal motto, “Imagination is more important than knowledge” Troy used his imagination to create wonders that stunned the scientific community and wowed viewers across the world for many years, having appeared on dozens of television shows and talk shows. Troy was a man of tenacity and will, a master storyteller and historian. His hobbies were many as was his desire to learn about the world. He never stopped moving forward, no matter the odds against him. Troy was without give in his quest to achieve his dreams. “-But as long as a man has the strength to dream, He can redeem his soul and fly-“. Elvis Presley.

As per his wishes there will be no visitation or service. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Hurtubise, Troy (Nov. 23, 1963 – June 17, 2018) - It is with great sorrow that Troy’s family announces his passing in North Bay on Sunday June 17th, 2018 at the age of 54 yrs.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother Claudette Villeneuve, father Maurice Hurtubise (Kim), wife Lori (nee Morin) and son Brett. Loving brother to Deborah Broznitsky (Peter), Tina Leblond (Robert), Belinda Noble (Wyatt), Stacy Hurtubise (Courtney Crompton), Blair Hurtubise (Melissa Kosowan) as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and a great niece.

Troy will always be remembered for his vivid imagination, wild ideas and maverick persona. Troy was more than a son, brother, father, husband. He was a man of adventure, daring and tenacity. He lived his life not to prove himself to the world, but to prove to the world that your dreams are never too big and that all things are possible. He loved Elvis Presley, Elvis said once "Don't cry because I'm gone, smile because I lived." Those who loved him will do just that…smile. Whether you knew Troy personally or just through media and all of his accomplishments over his lifetime, he had an impact on every one of us and will be forever missed. He will live on forever in our hearts and minds.

As per his wishes there will be no visitation or service. A family celebration will be held at a later date.
