Valerie Caven Obituary

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce that Valerie Jane Caven (nee Blackmore), age 74 has passed away peacefully on July 12th at her residence in Eastholme, Powassan.

She was born September 10, 1950 in North Bay to Rita and Frank Blackmore and she was the beloved wife of the late Bill Caven. Valerie was a proud mother to Chris Caven (Tara) and an even prouder grandma to Zoe and Kaia. She is survived by siblings Marlaine Bywater, Marita Valyear, Louise Cantin, Maureen Stefanelli and Vicky Pardy. She was preceded in death by her brother Michael Blackmore and sister Virginia Parks. She is also loved by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Valerie loved spending time with her granddaughters, being in the sun, gardening, dancing and possibly enjoying a glass of white wine or two. She was an easy going person who enjoyed hosting and was usually up for anything.

A special thanks to the staff at Eastholme for taking such good care of her all the way to the end of her life. We love you and you will always be in our hearts. Mwah!
