Valerie Joyce Lazarou

Lazarou, Valerie Joyce - The family of Mrs. Valerie Joyce Lazarou will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday, November 26th, 2021 for a funeral mass to be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church at 895 Memorial Drive North Bay, ON. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery located at 1075 Tower Dr. North Bay, followed by a funeral luncheon at Holy Name of Jesus Parish. Please note that Covid-19 protocols and wearing of masks and physical distancing are required.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Renal Department at the North Bay Reginal Health Centre will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Valerie Joyce Lazarou had her appointment with God on November 20th, 2021 with family members at her side. Passing in her 75th year, Valerie had a long, full life surrounded by family. Predeceased by her loving husband Peter Lazarou. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Peter (Sheena) and Steven (Michelle). Devoted grandmother of Hayley, Brenden, Joshua, Joseph and Kye. Valerie is also remembered by Robert and Lisa and their children and grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers Ed (Gladys), Judy and brother and sister in-laws, Barbara and Walter Stevens, Neil and Sue Lazarou, Phil and Rhonda Lazarou, Debby Gignac, Donna and Marc Carriere, and Kevin and Lorraine Lazarou. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Walter and May Hrechuk and sister Beverly Zambrano. Valerie was very proud of her family and her grandchildren. She always shared her love, kindness and her beautiful smile with those around her. Valerie was happiest when she was spending time with family and friends. She loved to travel with her late husband, Peter to British Columbia and Florida.

The family would like to send special thanks to the C3 nurses Colette, Sarah, Dawn, Kacey, and Marco and the Flex unit nurses Brett, Kelly, and Megan along with Dr. Cuncins, Dr. Shulman, Dr. Vigars, Dr. Harman and Dr. Saunders for their care and compassion given to Valerie during her stay and to the family, during a very sad time. Special thanks to Valerie’s close friends Karin, Takis, and Evelyn, for everything that you have done for our mother.
