Originally from Newfoundland, Bill joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1951 and moved to the mainland. There he met his love and best friend Alma. In 1955 they married and started their journey of raising a family and living their best life.

There were so many happy places to go, and things to do. Fishing on the Ontario lakes, camping at Killbear and traveling Canada to visit family and friends. There was never a project that couldn’t be done under the guidance of his supervisor Alma.

His two favourite things were hockey and sailing. Watching his favourite team, Montreal Canadiens, and watching his favourite players, his sons and grandsons.

At the park he would take turns taking anyone who wanted, to go sailing in the boat he built.

He was a proud Newfoundlander. Proud of his family. Proud to serve in the forces and live in the best country in the world.

Bill lived his wonderful life and is now with his true love. ‘’I look forward to the day we meet again”. They are now together.

Private service has taken place.

Donations to the Salvation Army or Nipissing Serenity Hospice will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
