Yvette Charron – It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Yvette peacefully in her 94th year surrounded by her family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday, January 17, 2021.
Beloved wife of Maurice (Moe) Charron. Loving mother of Jay (Barb) of Guelph and Paul of Walnut Creek, California. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Courtney Charron (Rhys Ferrusi) of Thorold and Lauren Charron (Logan McEwen-Hall) of Guelph. She is survived by her sisters Claudette Michaud (Larry) of Sturgeon Falls, Pauline Kirkwood (Clare – deceased) of Guelph and brother Dwight Martel (Josie - deceased) of Sudbury.
She was predeceased by her parents, Andre and Evelyn Martel, sisters Fleurette How (Ed) of North Bay, Florence Martel (Peter Vickers) of London, Jeannine Colquhoun (Alan – deceased) of Sturgeon Falls and Denise Robineau (Yvan) of Sturgeon Falls.
Yvette will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Yvette served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1950 – 1953 as a dental nurse. Following her enlistment in the RCAF, she settled in North Bay working both as a dental nurse and nurse in other medical offices. Her great joy in life was caring for her family. She was known for her culinary skills and enjoyed expressing her creativity through preparing gourmet meals for family and friends.
On behalf of Yvette and her family, Moe would like to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care offered to Yvette by Dr. Vigars, the nurses and staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Yvette’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay and Districts would be appreciated.
Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Proper notice will take place at that time.
