Yvonne Brown Obituary

Brown, Yvonne (Byers)

Yvonne passed away at the age of 84 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, in the early hours of September 29th. Yvonne was surrounded with love by so many family members and dear friends as she prepared to make her journey to the other side, after living a full and exemplary life.

Yvonne was at her happiest when she could be there for all of us, in any capacity, her love, support and energy knew no bounds.

Left to cherish her memory, the loves of her life, her children, David Cullen Jr, Sharon Kennedy (Blaine). Predeceased by their father Dave Cullen. Her granddaughter Cassandra Ross and great granddaughter Katarina, both brought so much joy and love into her life.

Yvonne was born and raised in the old farmhouse in Nipissing, along Lake Nipissing, to parents Lorney & Beulah (Storie) Byers. Growing up in the middle of a large family of siblings they saw good times and tough times, but their love for one another never faltered. As a tight-knit family they worked hard, played hard, and loved hard. So many stories of their younger lives. Her siblings and their families were always at the center of her world.

Clair Byers(d), Eugene(d)& Pauline Byers, Joanie(d), Murray & Barbara Byers, Clayton(d), Lorney & Linda Byers, Bobby & Pauline Jones, Wanda & John Wallace, Ruthie Jones (her living baby doll) & Barry Budreau(d). Yvonne also had 17 nieces and nephews, 22 great nieces and nephews and she loved and cared for them all deeply.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation to honor the special care she received during her stay, and to specifically recognize her outstanding care givers in her final days in ward A3. The family will never forget their thoughtfulness, professionalism, patience, and exceptional care.
