Schmelefske, Zachary Harry Martin

Born January 12, 1983 on Cape Breton Island, NS, passed away March 24, 2024 in North Bay, ON.  

Zack was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. In his younger years, he was highly intelligent and creative and drew the most incredible intricate maps of entire fantastical universes from his own imagination.  Zack loved the Christmas tradition of baking pfeffernusse (German peppernut cookies) with his mom, all animals, especially cats, music, the ocean and marigolds of all shades.  His life mattered and he is missed.

 “Lord, keep us safe this night, Secure from all our fears, May angels guard us while we sleep, ‘Til morning light appears.” 

Cremation has taken place.  Arrangements entrusted to Hillside Funeral Services.
