So sorry for your loss. This was a phenomenal woman and we always loved chatting with her. When I told mom Aline passed away her first words were that she could still picture her serving at church. You have an angel watching over you all. Rest in peace Aline.

Dear Collette & the entire family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Mom2 (as I called her) was an amazing women. From the very first day I met her, I felt at home with her, and all of you. I know she will never be forgotten by you or anybody that met her. Her wonderful smile and her quick laugh, is what I will cherish the most about her – oh, and let’s not forget her amazing ‘sucre à crème’ !

My heartfelt sympathies to all you. And I’m sorry that I won’t be there. Know that I will be there in spirit and am sending you all a huge cyber hug.

I am so sorry for your loss of your family matriarch! She had so much love for all of you, it was obvious to an outsider that nothing was more important than her family. Last time I drove down Mud Lake Road, a wave of nostalgia overcame me as I saw the rock out front where Colette had painted a big blue eye. I proceeded to knock on the door and lo and behold Matante Aline was still there and suddenly it felt like time had stood still. She cried out "Joanne" and I was grateful she remembered me, which was instantaneously. We reminisced about the old times and she provided me with some insight and an objective adult point of view about the past, which was very refreshing and lasting. On behalf of my parents and all my family, I would like to thank Matante Aline for her friendship and sharing her mother with us. The Sunday nights they would come and play canasta created much laughter, boisterous sounds and such beautiful reprise from the mundane. They did have fun. It warms my heart to think of all four of them in heaven playing one more game of canasta.
