Our condolences to Mimi's families, "The Virgili's". There is a place we come to when we lose someone so special, like Mimi, like Family and a generation known as friends we embrace. My mother Gloria Souliere (nee Veltri) deceased was a close friend of Mimi's over the years and more so in mom's last 10 years of her life. Every summer I would spend holiday's in North Bay at my mother's place only to realize mom had a senior club of friends. It was fellowship of widows who made the best of their days visiting, on the phone or out every Saturday Night at the Golden Age Club.

I became the chauffeur most of the time and really enjoyed those moments with those ladies. It was the gatherings at the coffee shop, dinner or just in the company of each other created memories in shared stories, jokes in the company of laughter made my trip to North Bay a pleasure. Mimi, Eileen, Lilly and Gloria my mother many times where my passengers to the Golden Age Club.

Mimi was always at the ready to go anywhere with the ladies group as Mimi spoke from the back seat of my dad’s car...."Gloria” we are going to have a good time tonight. I still remember Mimi as this wonderful energy that lit every conversation and at times silent but, don't let that fool you. As soon as Friday afternoon rolled around, mom's phone began to ring? Hello, this is Mimi, is your mother home? "Gloria" are we all going out Saturday night to the Golden Age? My mother would reply, "Let me call the others and call you back". It was like this at mom's house every week. It was a schedule pickup or gathering at mom's house that created such a celebration.

Now they are all together as they were in life. Mimi, thank you for the pleasure of knowing you for your remarkable sense of humor, respect held with devotion to friends and most of all….your sparkle of vitality will remain our motivation of tomorrows. Mimi….this is for you. Till we meet again.

Joseph (Joey) Souliere….Gloria’s son. Toronto, Ontario.
